2005年、日本で染織の世界に入り、ジャワ更紗の技術習得と知識を深めてまいりました。その後、現地でのものづくりの幅をさらに広げるためにインドネシアへ。
2013年、インドネシア・バリ島で素晴らしい職人さんと出会ったことから、私たちの物語は始まりました。試行錯誤しながらも、色々な作品を生みだしてきました。
テキスタイルデザイナー YUKA UEDA を筆頭に、満ち溢れた豊かな感性を最大限に閉じ込めたオリジナルデザインと、13世紀から伝わる歴史あるインドネシア伝統工芸技術を融合したブランド『YUAUA（ユーアーウーアー）』が誕生します。
シンプルなデザインに唯一無二の柄と色彩。そして、クラシックだけど刺激のあるオリジナルテキスタイルをご用意しております。一枚一枚丁寧に手作業をしているため時間が掛かりますが、だからこそ「価値」が生みだされると信じています。
この「価値」に共感してくださるお客様が日常生活に取り入れてくださることで、その「価値」が「価値観」となり、守り継がれる技法を知っていただくきっかけとなる。YUAUAがそんなアプローチブランドになればと思っています。
大量生産は行わないため、商品数に限りがございます。
また、ほとんどの商品が受注生産（Pre-order）となります。

Our story began in 2005, when I first entered the world of textile arts in Japan. There, I dedicated myself to mastering traditional techniques and deepening my knowledge of Javanese batik. Driven by a desire to expand my creative horizons, I eventually moved to Indonesia.
In 2013, a life-changing encounter with a master artisan in Bali marked the true beginning of this journey. Through years of trial and error, YUAUA was born from a passion for craftsmanship, original design, and a deep respect for Indonesian tradition.
Led by textile designer YUKA UEDA, YUAUA combines original textile designs with traditional Indonesian batik techniques that have been passed down since the 13th century. Every piece reflects the harmony between timeless craftsmanship and contemporary design.
Our original textiles feature simple forms, distinctive patterns, and carefully selected colors. Each piece is handcrafted with patience and care, a process that takes time but creates lasting beauty and genuine value.
We hope our creations become a part of your everyday life while helping preserve the beauty and tradition of Indonesian batik for future generations. Through YUAUA, we aspire to share the craftsmanship, culture, and stories woven into every textile.
As we do not engage in mass production, our collections are available only in limited quantities. Most items are made to order (pre-order), allowing us to carefully create each piece with the attention it deserves.
